“Introduction To The Ho’oponopono Practice”
with Edward Miller

People want to move on but find it hard to do so without doing what is necessary to make peace from within. Self-forgiveness is not easy because it involves recognizing uncomfortable thoughts and feelings. Some view the act as a reminder of not being a perfect person. Others see it as a way to love our self while accepting our imperfections.

Forgiving our self requires understanding, empathy, and thoughtfulness. People may not realize they have the ability to forgive themselves because it is something we must practice while recognizing it as a choice. How we do this may impact multiple areas in our life.

Today we shall explore the compassionate and nurturing ART of SELF FORGIVENESS, one of the principals of the SoulTranSync practice, and core to understanding Ho’oponopono (to make things right).

Ho’oponopono is a prayer and a Hawaiian practice for forgiveness. It is a powerful mantra for giving us a clean slate. According to Ho’oponopono, everything that is our reality is something perceived by our mind. Our connections, the people we know, are affected by our inner-self. We have an impact on everyone we know. Our closed ones can have a positive impact on them because of our empathizing nature, a simple smile can make someone’s day, a sorry can help, thank you can have a different notion altogether in a situation.

If our mind can have problematic thoughts, if it can create insecurities, it also can solve them too. The Hawaiian technique of Ho’oponopono consists of repeating four sentiments that can give us full control over our life. It all depends on our approach towards clearing conscience by enchanting the manta of powers. A mantra of four affirmations can be used to foster self-love by shifting our energies towards healing and reconciliation. These four powerful affirmations hold a lot of healing strength when enchanted with feelings and emotions:

I am sorry
Forgive me
Thank you
I love you

Join us as we learn the compassionate and nurturing ART of SELF FORGIVENESS. Edward’s unique blend of Non-Duality teachings, Transcendental and Buddhist Meditation and the Hawaiian forgiveness teaching of Ho’oponopono, will guide us along our journey to SELF-Discovery and SELF-Love.

“Mary Magdalene and the Light of the World”
with Brian Burns

Who is Mary Magdalene? Is she the figure we have known throughout history, or is she, in fact, the founder of esoteric Christianity? We will also discuss Sir Edward Arnold’s book, “The Light of the World,” which is the story of Mary Magdalene, her spiritual quest, and her friendship with an elderly Buddhist monk.

Brian Burns, author of Kwan-Yin Heart and other books, was born in Brooklyn and moved to rural Lake Ronkonkoma at an early age, which afforded him the opportunity for meditation in pastoral surroundings. Heavily influenced by the spirituality of Zen Buddhism, his poems reflect a desire to attain a higher level of consciousness. Before moving to Deerfield Beach, Florida, he hosted Sachem Poets, the longest-running adult poet workshop on Long Island. Brian is currently President of the Theosophical Society of Miami-Deerfield Beach/South Florida. His book of poetry Kwan-Yin Heart is available as a Kindle Edition through Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/Kwan-Yin-Heart-Brian-Burns-ebook/dp/B00W8GIOAW.

“Salinger: The Writer & the Yogi”
with Cary Bayer

J.D. Salinger wasn’t just a literary genius; he was a kind of spiritual teacher. He did not just create extraordinary stories; he also transmitted universal spiritual wisdom. He understood the sacred essence at the mystical center of every human life. In seeking the Infinite, he pointed us to it. In expanding his consciousness, he expanded ours.

In Salinger’s “Teddy,” a six-year-old boy, watching his sister pour a bottle of milk, says, “I saw that she was God and the milk was God. I mean all she was doing was pouring God into God if you know what I mean.” The spirituality in Salinger’s prose is like the poses in yoga classes—they both have a way of taking your breath away.

Salinger was deeply touched by the spiritual teachings of India. A Yoga practitioner of the Vedantic school, he felt a strong impulse to share his insights with his post-World War II peers, urging them to turn away from the shallow, phony concerns of the world and embrace the eternal quest for spiritual depth. Through his characters, he brilliantly explored the challenges of pursuing that quest in the modern world.

He tasted the joys of an expanded mind and heart and delighted in describing them. He offered vital lessons for us as we integrate our spiritual values with our worldly concerns.

Cary Bayer, is a keynote speaker and New York and Florida-based Life Coach. He taught Transcendental Meditation for three decades and trained dozens of its teachers before developing Higher Self Healing Meditation in 2010. Cary is the author of 16 books, and a long time supporter of the Miami/Deerfield Beach Theosophical Society, presenting regularly on a variety of topics. His latest book is “Literary Yoga: Writers & Higher Consciousness.” Learn more about Life Coach Cary Bayer at CaryBayer.com.
