Sept Classes

🙌 Miami/Deerfield Theosophical Society
September 2023 Classes

Classes are open to the public on a Donation basis, balancing giving and receiving. Keep in mind, we are a congregational 501(c) (3) non-profit associated with The Theosophical Society of America, and we currently hold meetings at Thubten Kunga Ling until such time as more people are interested in and dedicated to supporting a lodge of our own once again.

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together…” Hebrews 10:25

In-person gatherings assist us in recognizing our humanness, in voicing our needs and coming together in energetic ways that technological ways do not.

Theosophical Society Mission Statement: “To serve humanity by cultivating an ever-deepening understanding and realization of the Ageless Wisdom, spiritual self-transformation, and the unity of all life.”

If you are already a member of the Theosophical Society in America, you can join our lodge by filling out and mailing in the TS_Local_Lodge_Application

“Buddhism and the Body”
with Ken Frankel

The vast field of Buddhism and it’s many schools, encompasses views of the human body which can be complex and sometimes contradictory in nature. Some schools view the body with revulsion and refer to it as a “hunk of red flesh.” Yet virtually all the schools incorporate methods that utilize the body as an important aspect of the journey toward enlightenment. This session will provide an overview of some of these practices, including meditation postures, breathing methods, walking meditation, prostrations, yogic methods, qigong, martial arts, and even ultra-marathon running. The class will include some hands-on practice.

Ken Frankel has been a Buddhist practitioner since 1996, when he became one of the founding members of the Southern Palm Zen Group. He accepted the lay precepts and was given the dharma name Dainin by his teacher Mitch Doshin Cantor, Sensei, on September 12, 2001. He is also a certified teacher of qigong and tai chi, and a board member of the Theosophical Society of South Florida.

“Esoterically Speaking”

with Sharon Ann Meyer (aka SAM)

Connecting with bodies of consciousness, accessible via non-local reality (beyond our five senses), is a process that unfolds via various lifetimes. Humanity continues to move toward this achievement as never before to become multidimensional beings with greater awareness of ageless wisdoms. Today we continue our discussion on these communication frequencies, THEOsophical aspects of the Seven Planes of Nature, and their merging while still seeming to be in physical form. This is a sharing time and not a teaching.

Wayshower SAM, author of the Lightworker’s Log Book Series, founder of SAM I AM PROductions, and administrator of LightworkersLog.com couples ageless wisdom with personal experience in multiple realities. She is the Corresponding Secretary for our lodge.

There is no charge for any of our programs. We operate entirely by donations to balance giving and receiving and to continue our work of spreading the message of theosophy. All donations are tax deductible under the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, section 501(c) (3).

Connect via the website if there’s something your soul would care to share.
