“The Beatles, Archetypes, & You”
with Cary Bayer
One reason that the Beatles transformed tens of millions of people in all corners of the world is because each of the “Fab Four” powerfully embodied a deep archetype within our Collective Unconscious. There was John, as Visionary Rebel or agent of change; Paul, as Lover; George, as Seeker of wisdom; and Ringo, as Jester. This great rock ‘n’ roll band is a virtual Tarot deck. In this class, we’ll listen to specific Beatles’ songs to stimulate the four specific archetypes within you. Awakening just one of these four archetypes would allow you to become a bigger, more exciting person. This class provides practical proven techniques to awaken all four types. You will leave this class with tools that can speed up your spiritual journey, and help you evolve into a much more highly integrated human being.
For three decades, Cary Bayer, author of Beatles Yoga, taught Transcendental Meditation, which the Beatles practiced at Maharishi’s India ashram. In 2010, the former teacher of TM teachers developed Higher Self Healing Meditation. He’s also a life coach and the founder of Breakthrough Coaching.

“Janus Tarot Workshop”
with Markus Edmiston
Employing the tarot as an oracle and invoking the archetype of Janus, usually depicted with two faces, one facing back and the other forwards, the Roman god of endings and beginnings, we will consider what the past year has been and what we individually and as a collective are putting into motion for 2025. Following a demonstration with a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to give and receive a reading, with guidance as needed. The Serenity Prayer will be our suggested preparation of mind, to join without fear into the universal stream of consciousness, and its timeless wisdom.
Theosophist Markus has had several ‘lives’ (he likes cats and dogs, but as a Leo born in the year of the Tiger, his personality seems to be closer to a cat, but with more laughter!). His background includes running an International Equity Sales & Trading Dept on Wall St, being an Equity Analyst in Europe and running the Esprit Center in Hudson N.Y. A regular speaker at our lodge on various topics, he has also facilitated ACIM Study Groups at Artserve, Wholefoods Community Room, Unitarian Universalist and Unity Churches in the Greater Fort Lauderdale area.

“Theosophy, An Introductory Study Course”
with Brian Burns & Mary Klemyk
This class is based on John Algeo’s book, “Theosophy, An Introductory Study Course.” John, a past president of The Theosophical Society in America, geared the course for beginners and those who want a review of Theosophical topics and concepts. This month we focus on Chapter 5, Life After Death. Books are also available to take home and read for each participant.
Mary Klemyk is the Treasurer for the Miami-Deerfield Beach Lodge. She is a devoted student of Advaita Vedanta. Brian Burns is the author of Kwan-Yin Heart and other books. He continues to guide and support the lodge as our President.

“Buddha And The Beat Poets”
with Brian Burns
The classic cult book, “Teachings of the Compassionate Buddha” edited by Edwin Arthur Burtt. is a life-changing book that created a whole generation of American poets, the ‘beats’. Come and hear the readings from this amazing book and learn about how it affected the lives of these amazing poets.
Brian Burns, author of Kwan-Yin Heart and other books, was born in Brooklyn and moved to rural Lake Ronkonkoma at an early age, which afforded him the opportunity for meditation in pastoral surroundings. Heavily influenced by the spirituality of Zen Buddhism, his poems reflect a desire to attain a higher level of consciousness. Before moving to Deerfield Beach, Florida, he hosted Sachem Poets, the longest-running adult poet workshop on Long Island. Brian is currently President of the Theosophical Society of Miami-Deerfield Beach/South Florida. His book of poetry Kwan-Yin Heart is available as a Kindle Edition.

Join Brian Burns and Tony Spatarella as they share meditations, mantras, and spiritual practices. All are welcome to share during this special time.
Brian Burns continues to guide and support the lodge as our President. Tony Spatarella is a past President of our lodge, musician and author. His book The Myth of “ME” is available through Amazon.
There is no charge for any of our programs. We operate entirely by donations to balance giving and receiving and to continue our work of spreading the message of theosophy. All donations are tax deductible under the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, section 501(c) (3).
