“Dream Yoga”
with Brian Burns & Tony Spatarella
The practice of dream yoga deepens our awareness during not only dreams, but our dream-like daytime experience, and bardo experiences after physical death. It’s a powerful tool of awakening, used for hundreds of years by the great Tibetan masters. The ultimate goal of Tibetan dream yoga is recognition of the nature of mind or enlightenment itself. Join us for discussion of texts such as The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep: Practices for Awakening by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, purification practices, and to share your dream experience.
Brian was heavily influenced by the spirituality of Zen Buddhism at an early age and is the author of Kwan-Yin Heart and other books. He continues to guide and support our Branch as the President. Musician and author Tony is a past President of our lodge. His book The Myth of “ME” is available through Amazon.

“Death And Dying”
with Lisa Spitzer
How can we feel safe facing our own immortality? Today we will look at the concept of death, introspect and share. We will look at the works of Dadi Janki and read from his book I Know How To Live, I Know How to Die. This will be an open discussion as we look at our fears and blessings and together explore and share, including near death experiences. Lisa will discuss end-of-life doulas and much more. Come join us to explore this taboo topic. Do we dare? “Give up yourself and you’ll find your real self. Lose your life and you’ll save it. Submit to death, submit with every fibre of your being and you will find eternal life.” CS Lewis
Lisa Spitzer, a New York licensed MSW, has more than twelve years experience as director of psychiatric hospitals in upstate NY where she saw first hand that psychiatric illness may not be what we may believe. She is also a life long Theosophist and member of our lodge, long-time student of multiple esoteric schools, a medical intuitive, and has studied astrology for years. Lisa is currently writing a book entitled “The Starseed Chronicles” that takes place in another galaxy or world. Find more information at https://www.theguardiansofthelight.com/about-starseeds/.
