July 2026 Gatherings

“To live to benefit mankind is the first step.” ~ H. P. B.
In-person gatherings assist us in recognizing our humanness, in voicing our needs and coming together in energetic ways that technological ways do not. Gatherings are open to the public. Programs are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. Support your spiritual truths because unsupported they no longer exist. We support resonant groups by attending gatherings, becoming members and serving to keep the group active, and/or by financial offerings.

Join us at Thubten Kunga Ling (located in the Cove Shopping Plaza, in the teal colored building upstairs), at 201 S.E.15th Terrace, Suite 207, Deerfield Beach, FL. 33441. Learn more about the venue by visiting this link: https://thubtenkungaling.org

“Dream Work Shop”
with Brian Burns and Lillian Mayer

Brian Burns and Lillian Mayer will discuss a brief history of dream/prophecy, including main world traditions and their use of dreams, and definitions of traditional psychology vs. spiritual psychology and how they vary. An exploration of psychology as taught by the modern mystic, Gurdjieff will be included with reference to his mentor Sri Madhava Ashish and his guru Sri Krishna Prem. A former president and facilitator of our lodge, Sy Ginsburg, was a student of Ashish for many years and wrote about Ashish’s suggestion to Sy that he would benefit from studying The Gurdjieff Work. Sy wrote about this in a very profound and clear manner. For the Eastern tradition presenters will focus on Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche and the important and unique teaching of Namakhai Norbu. For the western tradition, the focus will be on the Fourth Way, or the Work which is the usual way of addressing Gurdjieff’s teachings.

Attendees will have the opportunity to share their dreams. Insights will be encouraged in a respectful and private manner. Should sufficient interest be exhibited, the facilitators may consider an ongoing dream group. Visit www.theosophysouthflorida.org/events to see the full class schedule.

Brian Burns is the author of Kwan-Yin Heart and other books. He continues to guide and support the lodge as our President. Lillian Mayer is a life-long spiritual seeker; and member of both The Theosophical Society of Miami, and the Gurdjieff Society of Florida. She is a past President of our lodge and continues to serve as Recording Secretary.

“Vehicles of Light: Yoga Nidra through the Lens of Theosophy
An Esoteric Journey into Wakeful Sleep,
Sacred Geometry, and Soul Evolution”
with Swamini Divyananda Saraswati

Beyond simple relaxation lies an ancient, occult technology of the soul. Join us for a transformative 90-minute experience that bridges the profound practice of Yoga Nidra with the timeless wisdom of Western Esotericism and Theosophy.

In this unique session, we reframe “wakeful sleep” not just as a stress-relief tool, but as a deliberate journey through the Sevenfold Constitution of Man to access the state of consciousness spoken of as Turiya.

The class features a foundational lecture on cosmic cosmology and the mechanics of soul evolution, followed by an extended, deeply immersive Yoga Nidra practice utilizing the visualization of sacred geometric thought-forms to realign subtle energetic bodies. We will conclude with a deliberate grounding sequence to anchor expanded awareness safely back into daily life. No yoga mat is required. This is offered as a seated practice in the sacred space of the Thubten Kunga Ling Center for Wisdom Culture.

Swamini Divyananda is the foremost disciple of Sri Swami Vijayananda Ji. She co-founded the Tiruvanammalai Tirumoolar Ashram with Swamiji and has served in key roles for numerous projects under his direction for the past 40 years.

Swamini Divyananda Saraswati was ordained by the revered Sri Swami Jyotirmayananda of the Yoga Research Foundation in 2009. She is an ordained Interfaith Minister completing two years of education and training at the Sacred Journey Interfaith Seminary. She holds a Master of Hindu Philosophy degree from Hindu University of America and has written and taught courses on Hindu Spiritual Care for International Hindu University. A licensed Registered Nurse for the past 35 years, she has served the community in three appointed volunteer committee positions in Broward County, as well as her Neighborhood Association. After completing two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) with Vitas Hospice and six years of voluntary service as a hospital based Chaplain at Pembroke Memorial Hospital, she is currently serving as an Independent Community Chaplain and member of the North American Hindu Chaplains Association (NAHCA). Swami Vijayananda Ji introduced her to the Theosophical Society in Miami in 1986, and she is now a member of our lodge.
