In-person gatherings assist us in recognizing our humanness, in voicing our needs and coming together in energetic ways that technological ways do not. Gatherings are open to the public. Programs are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. Support your spiritual truths because unsupported they no longer exist. We support resonant groups by attending gatherings, becoming members and serving to keep the group active, and/or by financial offerings.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: We are looking for a new place for our meetings as the Buddhist Center is relocating in September. If you send us your email address and phone number we will reach you when a decision has been made. A phone number makes all the difference for last minute cancellations. If you have a location suggestion, either phone Brian or email us at admin @theosophysouthflorida.org. To be precise, despite hundreds of subscribers to our updates, since relocating in 2020 we have not had more than 25 attendees at gatherings. Our active Board of merely five members cannot sustain a place of our own and membership is very low. Thank You.

“Dream Work Shop”
with Brian Burns, Lillian Mayer, & Tony Spatarella
Join us for discussions of dream/prophecy, main world traditions and their use of dreams, and traditional psychology vs. spiritual psychology. For the Eastern tradition presenters will focus on Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche and the important and unique teaching of Namakhai Norbu. For the western tradition, the focus will be on the Fourth Way, or the Work which is the usual way of addressing Gurdjieff’s teachings. Attendees will have the opportunity to share their dreams. Insights will be encouraged in a respectful and private manner.
Brian Burns is the author of Kwan-Yin Heart and other books. He continues to guide and support the lodge as our President. Lillian Mayer is a life-long spiritual seeker; and member of both The Theosophical Society of Miami, and the Gurdjieff Society of Florida. She is a past President of our lodge and continues to serve as Recording Secretary. Author and musician Tony Spatarella is also a past President of our lodge. His book The Myth of “ME” is available through Amazon.

Swami Vijayananda Ji along with Swamini Divyananda has built “Bhujageswara Rudraksha Mandir” in Davie, Florida. This serene Shiva Temple is enshrined beneath two Rudraksha Trees and is an abode of peace and tranquility. Regular Shiva Pujas, Rudra Abishekams and Rudra Homams are conducted here under the guidance of Swami Vijayanand Ji. There is no charge for any of our programs. We operate entirely by donations to balance giving and receiving and to continue our work of spreading the message of theosophy. We are a congregational 501(c) (3) non-profit associated with The Theosophical Society of America, and we currently hold in-person meetings at Thubten Kunga Ling until such time as more people are interested in and dedicated to supporting a lodge of our own once again.
