“To live to benefit mankind is the first step.” ~ H. P. B.
In-person gatherings assist us in recognizing our humanness, in voicing our needs and coming together in energetic ways that technological ways do not. Gatherings are open to the public. Programs are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.
Join us at Thubten Kunga Ling (located in the Cove Shopping Plaza, in the teal colored building upstairs), at 201 S.E.15th Terrace, Suite 207, Deerfield Beach, FL. 33441. Learn more about the venue by visiting this link: https://thubtenkungaling.org

“A Course In Miracles (ACIM)”
with Markus Edmiston
A Course in Miracles employs insights from modern psychology on human motivation with the teachings of Advaita Vedanta (non-duality). It has been called a Christian Vedanta. We will explore the shift in perspective from fear to love experientially, seeking to reach within the mind to our Source. “Heaven is… an awareness of perfect Oneness and the knowledge that there is nothing else”.
Theosophist Markus is a member of our lodge and has had several ‘lives’, he likes cats and dogs, but as a Leo born in the year of the Tiger, his personality seems to be closer to a cat, but with more laughter! Markus ran the Esprit Center in Hudson N.Y., and he continues to facilitate ACIM Study Groups in the Greater Fort Lauderdale area.

“Paranormal Chat Room”
with Brian Burns
Virtually everyone has had some kind of paranormal experience in their lives. In the past people were afraid to talk about it, but today it is completely open and everybody enjoys talking about these topics whether its precognition, premonition, apparitions, ghosts, UFO’s, spirits, etc. Today we open up this wonderful topic for all people to share in an open, loving, protective and supportive atmosphere.
Brian Burns is the author of Kwan-Yin Heart and other books. He continues to guide and support the lodge as our President.

“Hildegard of Bingen – Mystic, Psychic, Visionary, Herbalist”
with Ellen Kamhi, PhD, RN, AHG(RH), AHN-BC, The Natural Nurse®
Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179) was a Benedictine Nun who is considered to be the founder of scientific natural history in Germany. Through mystical visions, psychic impressions and observation of nature, she developed a system of natural therapies, using food, gemstones, and medicinal herbs. In this presentation, we will investigate her recommendations based on diagnosis, prognosis, and treatments which combined physical treatment with holistic methods centered on “spiritual healing”, including the application of tinctures, herbs, and precious stones, recognizing that the four elements (fire, air, water, and earth), the four seasons, the four humors, the four zones of the earth, and the four major winds must be kept in balance. We will also review the modern Scientific Validation that supports the continued use of her methods.
Dr. Ellen Kamhi, The Natural Nurse®, attended Rutgers and Cornell Universities, sat on the Panel of Traditional Medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Medical School, is a Medical School Instructor , and teaches Botanical Pharmacology. She is a wild crafting herbalist since 1964. She is a registered herbalist and on the board of the American Herbalist Guild AHG(RH), and is nationally board certified as a Holistic Nurse (AHN-BC). She offers CE accredited classes such as The Natural Nurse Herbal Certification Program, and Career Paths in Natural Medicine. As a leader in the nutraceutical industry, Ellen has advanced credentials and experience as a formulator, product developer and regulatory consultant. Author of many books including Cycles of Life- Herbs for Women, The Natural Medicine Chest, and Arthritis, The Alternative Medicine Definitive Guide, Dr. Kamhi enjoys educating about evidence-based natural therapeutics.
